How the Movie Machine Works: A Step-by-Step Overview

The Movie Machine makes turning your story into a movie or show easy. Here’s how it works:

Step 1. Upload Your Story

• Upload your story as a PDF.
• Any length works, but we recommend a full story.
• From your upload, the Movie Machine creates characters, voices, settings, objects, scenes, and shots.
• Story Processing costs 500 coins or $50 USD and we use this to generate all your characters and storyboard that will then be used to produce your film.

Step 2. Edit Characters & Voices

• Review your characters, voice profiles, and objects.
• Edit them easily by telling our AI what you want to change about the images, voices, and more.

Step 3. Adjust Scenes & Storyboards

• Each scene shows a cost estimate at the top (and for the entire film).
• Delete, reorder, or add shots to adjust your story.
• You can also edit each shot to match your specific vision (although 90%+ of shots should be really strong on the first draft!)
• Costs update live as you make changes.

Step 4. Produce Your Film

• Generate one scene at a time with a single click.
• This is where your story comes to life on screen!

Step 5. Edit & Publish

• Make final edits:
  • Redo shots with AI.
  • Trim clips.
  • Edit small details about shots and scenes like character outfits.
• Publish your film episodically (scenes combined) or as a full-length movie.
