How Long Does It Take to Make a Movie?

The timeline varies based on length and complexity:

  • Story ingestion: 5–10 minutes and all of your characters, settings, objects, and your entire storyboard is created from this process
  • Video generation: 30 seconds to 5 minutes per shot (we can run entire scenes in parallel, no limit to how many shows you can run at once!)
  • Editing & export: A couple minutes per scene

An entire movie or show can theoretically be made in under an hour using the movie machine. Of course, we highly recommend reviewing the storyboards and making edits to ensure the generated film matches your vision and will be entertaining to viewers. 

This process varies in length but can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on the length of your film and how much changes you desire to make to the storyboards.
