How to Troubleshoot the Movie Machine When It Doesn’t Give You What You Want

Sometimes, the Movie Machine’s results may not perfectly match your vision. This is because AI models are probabilistic, meaning the same exact storyboard can produce different outputs each time.

Here’s how to troubleshoot when things don’t look right:

1. Re-Generate the Same Shot

If you get something drastically different or glitchy (odd character movement, broken physics, strange lighting), try running the same shot again. Often, you’ll get a better result on the second or third attempt.

  • ⚠️ Note: We understand regenerating shots can be costly. The good news is that most of the time, 4 out of 5 shots turn out well on the first try.

2. Adjust the Storyboard

Sometimes the issue is tied to your prompt or visual setup. The model may have limitations with certain scenes, poses, or effects.

  • Change camera angles
  • Simplify complex movements
  • Alter background descriptions

3. Identify Model Limitations

AI filmmaking, like traditional filmmaking, has technical constraints. Just as a live-action crew adapts based on budget or equipment, you may need to adjust your creative vision to fit what the AI can currently handle.

  • Let us know if you hit a specific limitation. Our team can help brainstorm workarounds.

4. Remove Problem Shots

If a particular moment just isn’t working, consider deleting that shot entirely. You can rewrite or adapt the scene to work without it. This is a natural part of the adaptation process.

5. Contact Us for Help

We’re here to help you troubleshoot. Share your storyboard, the issue you’re experiencing, and the results you’ve tried. We can often suggest a fix that keeps your project moving forward.

Remember: The Movie Machine is constantly improving, and so are the AI models it uses. Over time, more of your first attempts will be exactly what you want.
