Chargebacks and Disputes on Creatorwood

At Creatorwood, we want to be transparent about how chargebacks and disputes are handled, so you always know what to expect as both a creator and a viewer.

What Happens if a Viewer Issues a Chargeback or Dispute?

If a viewer disputes a payment for a film they purchased from you, we are required by payment processors to return the money they paid back to them. This means that the amount from that transaction will be deducted from your creator earnings.

If a viewer is found to be submitting excessive chargebacks and disputes, they may be banned from the platform. We always recommend viewers come to us at hello@creatorwood.tv with any issues you have first!

Likewise, if a creator has a lot of chargebacks and disputes from many viewers, the creator may also be banned from charging for films on Creatorwood.

Are Creators Charged Extra Fees?

No — creators are not liable for chargeback or dispute fees. Payment processors typically charge $25 per transaction for disputes, but Creatorwood covers these fees entirely. You’ll never be charged anything beyond the refunded amount itself.

Why We Cover the Extra Fees

We see this as part of our commitment to supporting you, financially, creatively, and in every way possible. Disputes happen from time to time, but our priority is to ensure you can keep creating without worrying about surprise costs.
